Sharleen works with adults from diverse groups presenting with issues such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and trauma.
While Sharleen enjoys working clinically with all groups and has experience in various presentations, she has a particular interest in working with those with complex trauma backgrounds, those learning to manage difficult relationships and set boundaries with high-conflict personalities (such as with people who exhibit narcissistic traits), people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and individuals struggling with sexuality or sexual difficulties.
Sharleen prioritises a strengths-based, emotion-focused, and psychodynamic approach when working with clients. She draws primarily on techniques from cognitive behaviour therapy, schema therapy, and dialectical behaviour therapy.
