Bev Gwen

Psychotherapist

Hello, I'm Bev. I am deeply committed to fostering personal growth, healing, and emotional well-being. My career began in teaching, where I quickly realized my passion extended beyond academics to supporting children and their families holistically. This led me to study Counselling and Psychotherapy. My approach is based on the belief in the innate wisdom and wholeness that resides at the core of each of us. This core self becomes hidden beneath layers of protection, obscured and overshadowed by life's challenges. When we can connect with this resilient core, we start healing ourselves. My role is to help you reconnect with this core self with compassion and curiosity through various therapeutic modalities including: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT); Narrative Therapy; Mindfulness; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (CBT); and Expressive Arts Therapies. I am also passionate about resourcing and equipping people through psychoeducation. My academic journey includes a Bachelor of Education and a Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am currently expanding my knowledge and skills through a Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy and additional studies in Clay Field Therapy. I live in the Adelaide Hills with my partner, 3 children and our bearded dragon, Eddie.

Ms Fiona Mullins

Counsellor

My counselling practice has a gentle and emotion focused approach. My hope is to support you to gain insight into whatever is happening is your life or relationship’s so that you can better understand how to approach it in a way that feel authentic to you. Our work together would be about learning about yourself and how this deepened understanding can support you to feel more at home in your life and more at ease in your relationships with those in your life. In supporting you I will draw on over a decade of counselling experience including working with women, couples and families. I have a Master’s Degree in Counselling and I am registered with the Australian Counselling Association, level 3.  My passions are supporting people with being more aware of their boundaries and feeling comfortable to express their own needs. In addition I try to work from a trauma informed lenses, considering how trauma can impact our overall well-being and integrating top down and bottom up approaches. In learning about best practice models, I have trained to be able to support people with Emotional Freedom Technique or Tapping. I have had a focus on supporting couples to become more aware of the destructive patterns that may be taking over the relationship so that they can slow things down and respond in an insightful way rather than react out of distress and emotional pain. I can also offer support in the sometimes challenging space of navigating family relationships, including adult children and parent relationship. If this type of support sounds like it could be helpful to you during the inevitable challenging times of life , I would love to work together.
