Georgia endeavors to offer a space where individuals can express themselves, try new things, and explore skills to help them navigate life's ups and downs and trust their ability to cope.
She completed her Bachelor of Psychological Science at the University of Queensland, graduating with First Class Honours. Her thesis focused on the Three Circles of Emotion Regulation and the use of compassion meditation to activate soothing emotions, reduce threat-related emotions, and balance nervous system regulation. Georgia is passionate about using self-compassion interventions with clients across the lifespan. During her university placement, she worked alongside the Murtupuni Centre for Rural and Remote Health in Mt Isa, exploring gaps in youth mental health in rural areas of Australia.
Georgia has experience working in the private practice sector in metropolitan, rural, and remote communities. For nearly two years, she provided individual therapy and mental health services to children, adults, and families in underserved rural and remote communities in Central Queensland.
