Overview
Owner and Director of The Therapy Corner Rebecca Campbell, has specialised training and employment in working with individuals impacted by sexual trauma, including childhood sexual abuse. Having worked for specialised services such as the Sexual Assault Resource Centre (SARC), UnitingCare West and Department for Child Protection, Rebecca has extensive experience in supporting children and families navigating the various processes involved in the disclosures of sexual abuse, the reporting of sexual abuse to various authorities, and the overall support needed for children and families impacted by sexual trauma. This is a passion of Rebecca’s supporting and educating children and parents in the understanding of risks and protective behaviours in relation to sexual trauma.
Rebecca is also a trained Play Therapist, having trained in the specific area of Child Play Therapy (CCPT) at a postgraduate level (Advanced Play Therapy Practice) through Play Therapy Australia. Rebecca has been affiliated with the Australian Play Therapists Association (APTA) and is a past President and Board Member.
Rebecca is neuro-affirming and practices with individuals, including children from a neurodiverse lens, ensuring interventions and strategies support the individual needs and limits of the individual.
