Tristan is a registered Psychologist who recently returned to private practice after spending 3 years as Mental Health Manager for a statewide community health organisation. After completing his bachelor’s degree, he worked in vocational rehabilitation and worker’s compensation, conducting vocational assessment, adjustment to injury, EAP as well as general counselling within the private practice setting. In community mental health, Tristan worked with clients from adolescence through to older adulthood presenting with a broad range of mental health concerns from low intensity mood and anxiety disorders through to high intensity comorbid and complex issues such as bipolar disorder, PTSD and drug abuse. Tristan adopts an eclectic approach to psychological intervention which allows him to understand and adapt to each client’s individual therapeutic needs. Outside of high prevalence mood and anxiety disorders, Tristan’s areas of interest and expertise include complex trauma, PTSD, personality disorders and problematic gambling. Tristan is also the preferred provider for EAP services to St John Ambulance employees and volunteers in the South East Metro region.
