Dr Ng is a psychiatrist who completed her medical degree from the University of Queensland and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry. Her areas of research past and present include the following: eating disorders, epilepsy, delirium, anti-neuronal antibody encephalitis, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder, and doctors’ well being. She undertook further certification in child and adolescent psychiatry and hospital psychiatry, seeing patients from infant age to older age, and medically unwell patients who also need care for pre-existing mental health issues, or develop new mental health issues because of being unwell in hospital. She can diagnose and treat mental disorders and uses a combination of talk therapy and medications as required. She takes a holistic view of the person in the context of family, school or work, hobbies, culture, and life experiences.
