Hello, my name is Amanda Khamis. I am the director and lead speech pathologist at The Chirpy Swallow. I have over 15 years' experience with infants, children, and adults with a history of medical complexity and disability. I have worked in large disability organisations, hospitals, NICUs, multidisciplinary clinics, and schools. My special interests are in infant feeding, complex communication needs, and augmentative alternative communication (AAC), physical disability, and much more. There's not much that I love more than a delicious meal and a I am in the final stages of my PhD, researching feeding assessments and intensive therapy for infants with feeding and swallowing difficulties. I have authored a number of papers published in medical journals and presented my research at several international conferences.
