Miss Tasneem Arend

Occupational Therapist

Tasneem Arend is a dedicated Occupational Therapist who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (Honours) and has been practising since 2018. She brings a wealth of experience from both South Africa and Australia, supporting children, families, and individuals across the lifespan to achieve meaningful goals and enhance everyday participation. With an extensive background in paediatrics, Tasneem has worked within schools, clinics, community programs, and family homes to empower children with disabilities, developmental delays, learning differences, and sensory processing challenges. Her therapeutic approach is play-based, functional, and deeply collaborative—focusing on helping children build foundational skills for emotional regulation, independence, and confidence in all aspects of daily life. Tasneem’s professional experience extends beyond paediatrics; she has also practised in mental health and psychosocial support services, delivering interventions in both hospital and community settings. Since 2021, she has worked extensively within the NDIS community, offering person-centred therapy for people of all ages. Her roles have included contributing to core Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and providing capacity-building therapy that bridges the gap between clinical and real-world participation. Tasneem’s calm and compassionate nature allows her to build strong therapeutic relationships with children and families. She thrives on empowering clients through practical strategies that enhance their abilities and sense of autonomy. Through her dedicated and holistic practice, Tasneem combines professionalism, creativity, and empathy—qualities that make her a trusted partner to families striving for positive, lasting change.
