I earned a Bachelor of Psychology with Honours and went on to complete a Master of Social Work. After six years of working in acute public mental health, I became an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker.
This blend of Psychology and Social Work gives me a unique perspective and toolkit. I approach mental health with a balanced understanding of emotional well-being, behaviour, and the social factors that influence our lives.
I specialise in supporting women in early and mid-adulthood who face challenges such as:
- Anxiety, including perfectionism and people-pleasing tendencies
- Depression, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts
- Obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviours
- Trauma and emotional regulation difficulties
I’m also passionate about working with neurodivergent individuals and am continually expanding my knowledge in neurodiversity-affirming practices to provide inclusive and supportive care.
I use a range of proven therapeutic approaches and adapt them to suit your needs and circumstances. Some of the therapies I might use include: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
The combination of Psychology and Social Work offers a diverse skill set and provides a holistic approach to understanding and addressing the complexities of human behaviour, mental health, and social well-being.
