Emily Danson is a registrar neuropsychologist. She is a highly trained clinican in psychometric assessment, with a special interest in the use of cognitive tests to measure brain function (i.e., pen and paper tests).
She holds the highest level of qualification in psychometric testing within the psychology field (sometimes called psychological testing).
Emily has experience working with clients seeking evidence of cognitive disabilities for NDIS purposes, including cognitive and intellectual disabilities, neurodegenerative disorders, and acquired brain injury populations.
Additionally, Emily has experience in working with neurodiverse populations, including autism, ADHD, and dyslexia. The Sydney Neuropsych Clinic particularly focuses on women with neurodiverse conditions.
She was awarded the Academic Excellence Award and made the Dean’s List for her achievements.
Emily’s research on cognitive fatigue following acquired brain injury in paediatric populations was published in the journal Neuropsychological Rehabilitation. She also presented this research at the Australian Paediatric Neuropsychology Research Network conference in 2025.
Emily is currently under the supervision of Dr Hannah Korrel (Neuropsychologist, PhD) and is part of a high-caliber team of neuropsychologist at the Sydney Neuropsych Clinic.
