Dr. Hugo Lawrie is a GP who has worked on the Surfcoast for the past 8 years. During this time, he has noticed the love people have for their natural environment and the importance connection to the outdoors has on their overall health. As such, Hugo appreciates the need for a dedicated skin cancer detection and treatment service on the Surfcoast to enable the community to continue their outdoor leisure whilst mitigating the harm of sun exposure. Hugo has pursued further training in skin cancer medicine and has a Certificate of Practical Dermoscopy through Dermatology Australasia and a Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine through the Skin Cancer College Australasia, of which he is a member. Outside of work, Dr. Lawrie enjoys spending quality time with his wife and three children. He is also a passionate Collingwood supporter—but we try not to hold that against him!

Dr. Sarvenaz Hashemi, FRCGP, is an experienced General Practitioner with a dedicated focus on skin cancer diagnosis and treatment. With extensive training and certifications in dermoscopy and advanced skin cancer surgeries, including lesion excision and flap procedures, Dr. Sarv ensures personalized, high-quality care in a compassionate setting.

Dr Shelley Walder brings more than 18 years of experience in caring for patients with skin cancer and is passionate about helping people protect and maintain their skin health. As an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor with the Skin Cancer College of Australia, Shelley has dedicated her career to the early detection, prevention, and treatment of skin cancer. She regularly presents at skin cancer workshops across Australia through the Royal Australasian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), where she also teaches and mentors other GPs in skin cancer detection.
