Info

Overview

Sharvesh (they/them) is a postgraduate counselling student currently completing a Master of Counselling at Deakin University, with international experience in counselling, education, and community advocacy across Singapore, Canada, Sri Lanka, and Australia. Their practice is rooted in a humanistic and person-centred approach, integrating evidence-based modalities such as Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Interpersonal Therapy. Growing up Tamil, queer, and neurodiverse in Singapore, Sharvesh brings a deep appreciation of how culture, identity, and systemic inequities shape mental health experiences. They are committed to creating safe, inclusive, and affirming spaces where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. With particular interests in sex & intimacy, race-based stress, grief, and queer-affirming care, Sharvesh strives to work collaboratively with clients to explore meaning, build resilience, and strengthen connections. Their counselling philosophy is grounded in intersectionality, cultural humility, and anti-oppressive practice. Whether supporting individuals, couples, or groups, Sharvesh seeks to honour each person’s story, centring dignity and compassion while walking alongside clients in their journeys of growth and healing.
