Overview

Originally from Scotland, Seonaid (Shona) is an AHPRA endorsed Clinical Psychologist with an interest in all aspects of women's wellbeing. Seonaid supports women across the lifespan inclusive of both perinatal and non-perinatal women, adolescents (14 years+), and people who identify as non-binary & gender fluid. Seonaid offers assessment and treatment in all areas of women's psychology. She has a focus on conditions related to chronic stress, trauma, relationships, motherhood, childhood adversity, anxiety and neurodiversity. Seonaid also works collaboratively with many parents of neurodiverse children. Mother & baby sessions are always an option for perinatal clients. Seonaid has prior experience providing therapy at Lavender Ward (GCUH), a public perinatal mental health ward where mother and baby are admitted together and supported by a team of allied health professionals. In addition to her work as a practicing psychologist, Seonaid offers clinical supervision. Seonaid is currently preparing her PhD thesis for submission which is on pandemic-era perinatal experiences from women's lived experience perspectives. Previously, Seonaid's Masters research was in the area of birth trauma. She has a passion for formulating critically, addressing root causes holistically & somatically, and co-creating narratives with clients that are energetically healing. Seonaid is co-founder of Bayview Clinical Psychology. Outside of her practice, Seonaid is 'Mum' to two young boisterous boys and a very hyperactive golden retriever! Please note, Seonaid does not currently: - -See children under 13 years old. -Conduct forensic or legal assessments. -Offer court reportable therapy. -Offer family court psychology perspectives or opinions. New clients are welcome and online bookings are available.
