Hi There! I'm Sarah
I'm a registered creative arts therapist and a qualified primary school teacher who’s passionate about helping all kids have an enjoyable, meaningful learning experience. I also love working alongside teachers, schools, and educators to find creative, compassionate ways to support the unique needs of every young person.
I grew up in Melbourne and have had the incredible privilege of living and working in Arnhem Land (Yolŋu Country) and the East Kimberley (Gidja and Miriawong Country). These experiences have shaped who I am and deepened my belief in the power of connection, creativity, and care. I now call Bendigo (Dja Dja Wurrung Country) home.
In my work, no two days look the same—and that’s how I like it! I create spaces where all kinds of communication are welcome: talking, painting, clay-squishing, dancing, joking, drumming, or just sitting quietly and being. Whether it’s your first time trying creative arts therapy or you’re not sure what to expect, that’s completely okay. Your comfort is always my priority.
I work with early learners, primary-aged kids, early teens, adults, and families. Some of the areas I specialise in include:
* Big feelings, sensory overload, and understanding our window of tolerance (building resilience)
* Social skills and making connections
* Getting unstuck when life feels tricky or uncertain
* Supporting neurodivergent folks (including ADHD, autism, and PDA profiles)
* School-related challenges (like “school can’t” or tricky transitions)
* Helping create kinder, safer classrooms where every student can thrive
* Collaborating with parents, carers, and educators to support well-being from all angles
* Hosting down-to-earth info sessions for families and schools
I truly believe that play, movement, music, and art aren’t just fun (though they definitely are!)—they're powerful ways to express what words can’t always reach. Whether it’s through laughter, mess, creativity, or quiet moments, I’m here to walk alongside individuals and families as they explore, grow, and discover what helps them feel most like themselves.
