Overview

I have 20+ years’ experience as New Zealand Registered Health Professional with an extensive background in both mental health therapy/counselling and occupational therapy. I work within a Polyvagal-informed framework, integrating an understanding of the nervous system with more traditional talking therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). By combining the structure and tools of CBT with the nervous system awareness of Polyvagal Theory, I aim to support you from both a brain and body perspective, helping you develop strategies to navigate your mental health and the challenges life may bring. This may include assisting you to gain insight into thinking patterns, beliefs, personal narratives, behaviours, and bodily sensations that may be contributing to, exacerbating or protecting you. I am also experienced in using neuro-affirming approaches including supporting people with ADHD. I'm an international member of the Canadian ADHD Resource Alliance. I provide a style of therapy that is collaborative, reflective, empowering and practical. I can provide therapy and counselling to adults and youths aged 16 yrs+. I am based in Frankton, Queenstown and work Monday to Wednesday between 9am and 4pm. NB: I do not provide ACC therapy or couples counselling
