Sara is a warm, compassionate and down-to-earth Registered Psychologist who works with adults and older adults. She provides a calm and grounding space for people who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, burnt out, stuck or unsure of themselves, as well as those who simply want to better understand themselves and make meaningful changes in their lives.
Sara has particular interests in anxiety, including generalised, social and health anxiety, depression and low mood, stress and burnout, relationship and interpersonal difficulties, emotional regulation, neurodivergence, sleep difficulties and navigating periods of change or uncertainty.
She also enjoys working with people who find themselves caught in patterns of perfectionism, people-pleasing, self-criticism or low self-worth and would like to develop a more compassionate and confident relationship with themselves.
Sara may be a good fit for you if...
You're looking for a psychologist who is warm, grounded and practical.
You often feel overwhelmed or find it difficult to switch off; anxiety or worry is taking up too much space in your life; you're feeling exhausted or burnt out; or you've been feeling low, stuck or disconnected from the person you'd like to be.
You might also find yourself being particularly hard on yourself, striving to get everything right, putting other people's needs ahead of your own, or struggling with confidence and self-worth.
Perhaps you're experiencing difficulties in a relationship, adjusting to a significant change in your life, or simply know that something isn't feeling right and would value a supportive space to make sense of it.
Sara's Approach
Sara believes therapy works best when it feels collaborative, genuine and practical. She takes time to understand each person's individual experiences, strengths and challenges and works alongside clients to identify changes that feel achievable and meaningful.
Her practice is grounded in evidence-based, person-centred care, with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) forming a core part of her approach. She also incorporates DBT-informed strategies for emotional regulation and coping, self-compassion-focused approaches, Gottman-informed strategies for relationship and communication concerns, and practical skills to build emotional resilience and confidence.
