Dani Purcell
Accredited Practicing Dietitian & Certified Diabetes Educator
Dani has worked within the health sector since leaving school and has been practising as an Accredited Practising Dietitian since 2020. Operating through East Coast Dietetics and Nourish Creative, she bridges the gap between rigorous clinical dietetics and a root-cause, functional health philosophy. She believes true healing happens when we look beyond surface symptoms, blending biochemical science with practical, whole-body strategies that respect your natural physiology.
As a neurodivergent practitioner herself, Dani brings authentic lived experience, deep empathy, and zero judgment to clinical care—with neurodivergent (ND) clients holding a particularly special place in her practice. Whether navigating sensory preferences, executive dysfunction with meals, interoception signals, or burnout, she creates realistic, supportive nutrition frameworks that work with your unique brain and nervous system.
Working locally across the Mid North Coast and Australia-wide via telehealth, Dani specialises in untangling complex health presentations:
The "Normal Bloods, Persistent Symptoms" Puzzle: Applying a functional lens to uncover the drivers behind chronic fatigue, brain fog, and low vitality when routine pathology says you are "fine."
Autoimmune & Gut-Immune Health: Supporting gut integrity, microbiome balance, and natural inflammation modulation to calm flares and rebuild resilience.
Hormonal & Gender-Specific Care: Targeted nutrition for women’s hormonal shifts (PCOS, endometriosis, perimenopause) and dedicated men’s health support (including metabolic health and vitality).
Diabetes & Metabolic Vitality: Moving past restrictive dieting to support insulin sensitivity, stabilise blood glucose fluctuations, and nurture long-term cardiovascular and metabolic health.
Flexible Referral Pathways: Clinical services are accessible via Chronic Disease Management (CDM) GP Plans, Eating Disorder Plans (EDP), Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA), NDIS (Self and Plan-Managed), Support at Home (SAH) aged care packages, and private health insurance.
Rather than simply categorising and suppressing isolated complaints, Dani’s framework views the body as a dynamic ecosystem. By exploring antecedents, triggers, and mediators, and mapping systems across the gut-immune, gut-brain, and endocrine-metabolic axes, she partners with you to decode your body's signals and design a sustainable path toward authentic health creation.
