Ria is an Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor. Her approach is rooted in warmth, compassion, and a deep attunement to her clients. Ria’s passion lies in supporting individuals as they navigate life’s challenges and find pathways to well-being.
With a background as a yoga teacher since 2020, Ria brings a strong foundation in somatic (body-based) practices and mindfulness to her clinical work. Ria welcomes experiential and process-oriented processes as therapeutic tools to healing and encouraging the mind-body connection.
Ria recognises the profound impact that early experiences have on how we relate to ourselves and others, and she creates a space where clients can feel safe to explore these dynamics. She sees the therapeutic relationship as a vital avenue for healing and transformation. Valuing the uniqueness of every client, she tailors her approach to each person and endeavours to foster meaningful and trusting connections.
She embraces diversity and is committed to supporting individuals from all walks of life.
Ria draws on a variety of evidence-based modalities including Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Psychodynamic-Interpersonal Therapy (PIT), Mentalisation-Based Therapy (MBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Ecotherapy.
