Matthew has expertise in treating high prevalence disorders in adults and commonly treats anxiety disorders, depression, lifestyle change, anger, adjustment disorders, bereavement, unexplained somatic conditions and sleep problems.
Due to Matthew's experience working in medical settings, he has also developed specialist skills in treating individuals with chronic diseases, especially diabetes, cardiac conditions, inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohns Disease and Ulcerative Colitis), irritable bowel syndrome and COPD/emphysema. He also have expertise in working with people with unexplained physical symptoms.
Matthew has a broad knowledge and experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques drawn from first, second and third waves behavioural therapies. He can also provide Interpersonal Psychotherapy interventions.
