Overview

Rashida is a Registered Psychologist and the Founder - Head Psychologist of Flow State Space. A life-long love affair with psychology, philosophy and anthropology, led her down a path of living, studying and working all over the world within the realm of Psychology. Rashida has lived whilst practicing or studying Psychology in Australia, Toronto, England and Kenya. Allowing for a broad understanding of cultural and societal influences upon identity and how we experience ourselves, the world around us and our mental health. Working in a variety of settings including hospitals, private practice, NGO’s and the public sector has also contributed to a wealth of knowledge to the mental health care systems nationally and internationally and how this impacts one’s mental health journey. Working with people across the lifespan; with a passion for working holistically and collaboratively with her clients, she is able to support you in reaching your goals, navigating through difficult emotions and making sense of your struggles. Rashida also has experience working with Neurodivergent individuals including adult ADHD. She has been praised for her warm, kind and empathetic nature, as well as her no BS approach, over-all approaching therapy in a fun and creative way. Using evidence-based modalities including mindfulness, psycho-dynamic, existential, humanistic, cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, Rashida finds it paramount to remember that we are all individual beings; what may work for you on your journey, may not work for the next person, and that is completely okay. Wanting to create a space in which complex mental health/illness topics and information could be shared in a creative and easy to digest way led to the birth of Flow State Space. Flow State offers workshops, webinars and mental well-being education content for organisations to ensure mental health remains a priority to audiences small and large in an engaging way. Rashida is also a lover of nature, art, chai, live music and sleep - all the great things in life.
