Alvin Lo

Psychologist

Alvin is a generally registered psychologist who has been in private since 2017. Arriving in Australia at the age of 11, he has learnt from a young age to appreciate and respect the different cultures of the world. Both a challenging and fun experience, Alvin has started developing an understanding that we are all connected through our shared humanity from a young age. As a practitioner, Alvin conducts CBT, ACT and DBT through a Narrative Therapy style driven model. The narrative approach is collaborative and investigative with the process of working side-by-side towards meaningful solutions. Motivated by passion and curiosity, Alvin enjoys collaborating with clients in learning their own values and goals in life. He is passionate in supporting them to rediscover themselves and bolstering them towards their preferred stories in life.  Alvin has supported individuals experiencing symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression and bereavement. He identifies as LGBTQI+ friendly, providing a safe space for those in need in the community. Alvin currently works with individuals from a variety of backgrounds, from young adults to older adults. Outside of the clinic, Alvin is enthusiastic towards baking desserts, video games and keeping fit. As a self-taught baker who is sweet sensitive, he is always on the lookout to recreate sugar-reduced baked goods for his family and friends to enjoy. His go-to activities are spending time with friends, baking, and playing video games.

Dr Rose Cantali

Psychologist

Dr Rose Cantali is an Educational and Developmental Psychologist whose research and work with infants, children and adolescents is recognised by media, government bodies, parent organisations, professional national and international institutions, universities and professional colleagues. In 2017, she was awarded the prestigious title of Fellow by the Australian psychological Society for her contribution to the profession of psychology. Dr Cantali’s current and prior appointment to various Boards over the years demonstrates her professional reputation. Dr Cantali involvement in key professional Boards include: Board Director of, SPELD NSW, Australia Parent Council, President of NSW Parent Council, Chair Sydney Branch of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), Board Director Australia Council of the Arts – Cultural Community Board, Board Member NSW of Studies. Her appointment as Associate fellow to numerous Australian universities and Clinical supervisor of provisional psychologists and registered psychologists demonstrates her highly regarded expertise in youth issues. Marianne Restifo

Psychologist

Marianne Restifo is a registered psychologist who has a variety of experience working across different areas of psychology within different settings. Marianne has worked a number of years within occupational rehabilitation working within WorkCover and CTP schemes. In this role, Marianne has also liaised with various governing agencies such as the Department of Human Services and Australian Taxation Office, and has extensive experience providing health coaching and vocational counselling within the Australian Defence Force and DVA portfolio. Marianne has further provided Employee Assistance Counselling and completed Psychological Functional Capacity Evaluations in assessing one's ability to return to work. Marianne has also worked within private practice, and provided psychological treatment across a widespread of clientele ranging from children from five years, to adolescents and right through to late adulthood. Marianne is passionate about providing warm and empathic support, and working collaboratively with her clients to help them achieve their therapy goals. Marianne uses a variety of therapeutic models and tailor these to assist with her client’s presenting issues. Nesli practices a cognitive behavioural approach called Reality Therapy (ref: Dr William Glasser, USA) when working with her clients. She believes that a caring, empathic relationship lies at the heart of any kind of therapy and works with clients to offer insights into how making rational, effective choices can heal the mind and soul. She believes that we get into emotional binds like depression not because our standards are too high, but because our performance has been and is too low. Her objective is not to lower the aim, but to support her clients increase their accomplishments, by helping them fulfill their needs in the real world.
