Jodie Evans

Counsellor

Jodie Evans is an Integrative Practitioner who adopts a combined approach to counselling by using different methods, tools, and approaches to fit individual needs. Jodie provides 1:1 counselling to children, adolescents and young adults (aged 8 to 21 years). Jodie has provider numbers with some private health funds and welcomes NDIS plan managed and self-managed clients. Jodie is available for appointments Mondays to Thursdays. Jodie works with individuals to help them explore, grow and develop a better understanding of what causes them to feel challenged in life. Supporting a process of discovery to identify and build upon strengths, passions and motivations. She believes that each person has the capacity and desire for personal growth, to live a life that is meaningful and fulfilling, to connect with others and reach their full potential. Jodie brings together elements of multiple modalities such as person-centred, acceptance and commitment therapy and cognitive behavioural whilst drawing on other psychoanalytical approaches and creative techniques. Jodie works with individuals to help them explore, grow, and develop a better understanding of what causes them to feel challenged in life. Supporting a process of discovery to identify and build upon strengths, passions, and motivations. She believes that each person has the capacity and desire for personal growth, to live a life that is meaningful and fulfilling, to connect with others and reach their full potential. Jodie has more than 20years experience working with children, young people and their families in various roles and settings. She is particularly skilled in engaging vulnerable adolescents and uses creative, interactive, and sometimes playful approaches to generate curiosity, build rapport and create a safe space. Jodie provides 1:1 counselling to children, adolescents, and young adults. She is also a skilled group facilitator with years of experience in designing and facilitating consultations, workshops and focus groups with children and young people.
