I am an Australian Counselling Association (ACA) (Level 4) Registered Clinical Counsellor graduating from the University of New England where I hold several degrees in Counselling, Psychology and Art Therapy. I believe that empathy can change the world and that the people he works with deserve love and care. Recognising that emotions heal when they are witnessed and validated. Professionally I am passionate about working with people who have experienced any form of trauma, sexual abuse, eating disorders, violence in relationships, workplace bullying, grief & loss, and expected and unexpected life transitions. To create a therapeutic alliance, facilitate and find hope for positive change, no matter the feelings or the story you bring. My counselling method draws on an eclectic generalist approach through various counselling modalities: humanistic, ethnic sensitive, narrative theories, DBT, Attachment, motivational interviewing, and solution, compassion and trauma-focused therapy interventions. My goal is to help clients see their strengths, build resilience, and create manageable goals. Moreover, I believe that positive changes can start by looking within ourselves.
