Our fees are as follows:

Subject to availability and a review of your circumstances, reduced fees may be arranged

Sessions are 50-minutes long and are charged at $320 (Clinical Psychologists), $260 (General Psychologists), or $140 (Provisional Psychologists) during business hours and $340 (Clinical Psychologists), $280 (General Psychologists), or $150 (Provisional Psychologists) for appointments before 9:00am, and from 4.00pm. Please note that fees are payable at the time of consultation by credit card (MasterCard or Visa) or cash. Most consultations are for 50 minutes, unless long consultations are required, and these will be discussed prior and charged on a ‘per hour’ or ‘part thereof’ basis at the same rate.

If you are a concession client, please contact our team or, where a standard fee has been selected at the time of booking, our administration staff will review and amend the fee accordingly.

Cancellation Policy

For us to provide you with the best and most accessible service there are fees for cancellations and missed appointments. To avoid a cancellation fee, a minimum of 48 business hours’ notice must be provided for any changes to your appointment. You may cancel or reschedule your session by emailing admin@terapiapsychology.com.au or calling (03) 9964 3755. We appreciate your consideration in providing as much notice as possible so that your allocated session time can be offered to another patient on our waitlist. A summary of the cost of cancellation fees is available in the table below.

Cancellations fees are charged as this time has been set aside for you and cannot be filled at short notice. For this reason, you will be charged for cancellations if we cannot fill the appointment. These fees are not covered by Medicare; they are your responsibility; and become due immediately.

As a courtesy to you, we may send you an email reminder for your appointments booked. This may occur up to 3 days before your scheduled appointment. However, this is a courtesy service only and should we experience staff shortages or technical difficulties this notice will not occur. As such, it remains your responsibility to attend sessions, and the absence of an email reminder will not lead to cancellation fees being waived.

Disclaimer: When booking through our online booking system, clients are responsible for selecting the correct appointment fee for their chosen psychologist. If an incorrect fee is selected, Terapia reserves the right to amend the fee to the appropriate rate and notify the client accordingly.

Terapia Psychology Pty Ltd reserves the right to reschedule appointments at any time, without compensation, if it is deemed necessary due to staff illness or other unforeseen circumstances.

Initial Intake Appointment

Please note that the online booking system is for an initial intake appointment only and does not guarantee ongoing care with the selected psychologist. The psychologist chosen at booking may not specialise in the client’s presenting concerns.

Following the intake, the clinician will assess the client’s needs and may recommend transfer to another psychologist within the practice who has more appropriate expertise. This is to ensure the client receives the most suitable and effective care in line with their clinical needs.

By proceeding with the booking, the client acknowledges that ongoing treatment may be provided by a different clinician based on clinical suitability and availability.
