I’m Paul, a warm and down-to-earth counsellor working online across Australia. I offer a steady, reflective space for individuals navigating complex life dynamics—particularly adult adoptees and family members or partners carrying the heavy emotional load of a loved one's substance use.
My practice is built on lived experience, specialized family support background, and crisis support experience with Lifeline. I practise reflectively and humanly: meeting you as an equal, without clinical jargon or judgment, to help you make sense of what you are carrying.
How I Work
My approach is unhurried and person-centred. I don't give generic worksheets or try to "fix" you. Instead, I offer a steady space to step off the rollercoaster, explore questions of identity and belonging, or rebuild healthy boundaries at your own pace.
Specialised Focus Areas:
Adult Adoptees: Navigating identity, origin, search/reunion dynamics, and belonging from a perspective of lived understanding.
Families Impacted by Addiction: Dedicated, confidential space for parents, partners, and family members dealing with chronic stress, boundary confusion, guilt, and emotional burnout.
Sessions take place online via secure video ($150 per 55-minute session). I offer a free 15-minute phone or video chat so we can meet first and see if we are a good fit.
