Interplay West Perth is a therapy clinic and professional training centre for clinicians working with children and families. It's a lovely therapeutic space for children and parents. Interplay is a Humanistic approach which is a combination of research informed and clinical experience incorporating key findings with an understanding of the dynamic between attachment theory, trauma and the impact this has on our relationships to self and each other. The therapeutic focus is dyadic work with the child and the parent in the room, supported by the therapist who puts words to the play experience, verbal and non verbal communication and supporting children, adolescents and parents to understand themselves and also each other.
This helps each individual integrate past experiences which helps them to be able to join each other in a powerful way, strengthening the parent and child connection.
