Registered psychologist (AHPRA) with a Bachelor of Science (University of NSW, Sydney) and a Master of Arts in Psychology (University of Sydney).
I believe that the most important aspect of successful therapy, is the quality of the relationship between the psychologist and the client and I offer a non-judgemental, intuitive, compassionate, collaborative and supportive approach to working with you.
Life will always throw obstacles in our path; however, with the right support, these adversities are opportunities for personal growth and deeper insights into ourselves and others. Which ultimately leads to a more authentic, intimate and fulfilling life.
I am interested in the challenges we face as we move through different life stages and my intention is to sensitively and creatively explore what is going on for you and offer more choices and different perspectives in the way you respond to yourself and the world around you. I truly believe in our capacity to grow and change if we choose to – but we can’t always do this alone.
Areas of interest include depression, stress and anxiety, relationship issues, loss and grief including the loss of a pet, struggles with identity, aging, finding meaning throughout life and general health and wellbeing.
The therapeutic techniques I might use are evidence based such as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), solution-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, emotionally focused therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques.
