Dr. Anuruddha (Anu) Dissanayake is a consultant psychiatrist with over 10 years of specialist experience in both Australian and Sri Lankan healthcare systems. He completed his psychiatric training in Queensland, Australia, and Sri Lanka. Following seven years as a board-certified specialist psychiatrist in Sri Lanka, Dr. Dissanayake commenced his Australian practice as a consultant psychiatrist in Victoria in 2020. In 2022, he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP). Throughout his 25-year medical career, Dr. Dissanayake has maintained a strong academic record. Dr Ashutosh Govind Prabhu Dessai

Dr. Dessai is an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist and Professor of Psychiatry from Goa, India. He is a member of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and the International Psychotherapy Institute (USA), and an accredited supervisor with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) and postgraduate guide of Goa University. Dr. Dessai has previously worked as Inpatient & Youth Community Psychiatrist with Bendigo Health, the lead Consultant Rehabilitation Psychiatrist with Mercy Health, Werribee, Victoria and as the lead Consultant Community Psychiatrist with Barossa Hills Fleurieu local Health Network in Victor Harbor, South Australia. Dr. Dessai adopts a compassionate, patient-centred approach, working closely with individuals to develop personalised treatment plans. His care focuses on recovery, mental health education, psychotherapy, and appropriate medication treatment. He also offers novel and advanced treatment options, including Esketamine therapy & TMS, for suitable patients. He provides care for adolescents and adults aged 16–65 years, and occasionally for older adults, across a wide range of mental health conditions. Appointments are available both in person and via telehealth. Dr. Dessai speaks English, Hindi, Marathi, Konkani, and Portuguese, helping patients feel comfortable expressing themselves in the language they know best.
