Overview

Wai Leng completed Masters in Clinical Psychology at Macquarie University, and national registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist with endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist. She uses various therapeutic models such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Mentalization Based Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, as well as Parent-infant therapy. Wai Leng has over fifteen years of clinical experience working in both public mental health inpatient unit, community mental health services, Karitane residential unit, family care centre (child and family health), Jade House (long term therapy for perinatal mood disorders), and private practices. She has also overseas experience working in child protection services. She works with parents, infants, young children, adolescents, adults, and couples. She has significant expertise in the area of Perinatal and Infant Mental Health (i.e. adjustment, anxiety and depression during the antenatal and postnatal period, parent infant relationship and parenting).
