Overview

Judy is a psychologist with over 8 years' experience working in both private clinics and public educational settings. She is passionate about fostering resilience and well-being in children, adolescent young people, and young adults with neurodiversity and complex needs. Judy also particularly values working in partnership with parents and their child’s educators to achieve their goals. She offers a warm and calm approach and uses evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychoeducation, mindfulness, exposure therapy, motivational interviewing, and play therapy. In addition, Judy has supported individuals who have experienced challenges including depression and anxiety, selective mutism, emotional dysregulation, grief and loss, friendship issues, social and behavioural difficulties, bullying, attendance concerns such school refusal, learning difficulties, organizational skills, and skills training. Moreover, Judy specializes in conducting comprehensive assessments including, cognitive assessments, academic assessments (diagnosing Specific Learning Difficulties), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) assessments, and Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA), to investigate the individual’s strengths and difficulties. She also has substantial experience working with school educators to develop and implement highly effective Behaviour Support Plans (BSP) and Individual Education Plans (IEP), and interventions that match the individual’s needs. In her personal time, Judy loves to spend time with her friends and family, particularly her two beautiful children. She loves to go on overnight multi day hikes, is passionate about health and fitness, and is a marathon runner.
