I am a registered psychotherapist with the Australian Counselling Association, bringing over two decades of experience as an art therapist across both community and private sectors. Over the past ten years, my professional focus has shifted toward integrative counselling and psychotherapy, working with individuals in private practice as well as within the EACH BounceBack program—a government-funded complex mental health service supporting young people. In parallel, I serve as an academic and clinical supervisor in higher education, contributing to the development of emerging practitioners.
I assist you in exploring, clarifying and understanding your situation so that you can live with greater empowerment to approach life’s challenges.
The therapeutic modalities I draw upon have an experiential, body-orientated focus, including; emotion-focused therapy (EFT), focusing, EMDR and transpersonal art therapy and person-centred therapy. These psychotherapy approaches can assist in addressing the core issues, which are often beyond conscious awareness.
Other modalities I use that are effective in behaviour change include mindfulness-based cognitive behaviour therapy, Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), solution-focused, positive psychology and motivational interviewing and narrative therapy.
