Shyamala Dhamarla Venkata Subba Rao Founder and Chief Consultant – Mithrah Holistic Services Shyamala Dhamarla is the Founder and Chief Consultant of Mithrah Holistic Services, an Australian organisation dedicated to providing community and holistic mental health support services across Australia, India, and beyond. With over two decades of experience in the community services sector, she is a highly qualified and respected mental health professional. Her diverse qualifications in psychology, counselling, and social work enable her to practise as a holistic mental health professional, offering an integrative approach that combines multiple disciplines to support individuals and communities effectively. Shyamala is a registered professional with recognised peak bodies in both Australia and India. Her memberships include: Australia: Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society (Assoc MAPS); Full Member of Community Work Australia India: Life Member of InSPA, NAPSIndia, and NAPSWI Shyamala is not a psychologist and cannot provide psychological counselling services as she is not a registered psychologist in Australia yet. Shyamala is currently pursuing her goal of becoming a registered psychologist in Australia, and plans to undertake a Master of Clinical Psychology program as part of this professional pathway. At present, she provides only case management, social work services, and teaching. She currently has no capacity to provide any direct counselling services to clients until 2027.
