Overview

Shobie is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker experienced in delivering focused psychological strategies to individuals accross the lifespan. As a therapist, Shobie is warm, empathetic and curious. Shobie has worked internationally and in reginal and remote communities. She encourages individuals to tune into the biological, social and emotional processes influencing their current mental state. As a result of her extensive training in mental health social work, Shobie is well equipped to deliver a range of evidence based interventions including CBT, ACT, Schema Therapy, Emotion Coaching, Mindfulness and EMDR Therapy to assist people to achieve their goals, change behaviour patterns and lead rich, full and meaningful lives. When working with adolescents, she is relatable, creative and incorporates a range of evidence based techniques to help increase autonomy, improve coping and connect to a values guided life. Shobie is committed to continuing professional development to ensure her clients receive the most effective, up to date, evidence based interventions.
