I feel privileged to have the opportunity to assist people emotionally; to me it is the most meaningful work I can do. I know how difficult it can be to speak to a psychotherapist about deeply personal issues, so it is incredibly important for me to be as sensitive and empathic as I would like a psychotherapist to be with me. It helps us to feel better if we speak to a professional and not keep our emotions and feelings locked up inside ourselves. Talking to a psychotherapist can help us to accept our feelings, accept and understand ourselves better and can reduce incredibly painful states of mind as well as bodily pain and discomfort from the stress we may be experiencing. Sometimes we just want to be "fixed" immediately, and I do suggest "tools" that can assist in improving what is happening for you, right now.
