Samantha graduated with honours from the University of Western Australia in 2000. Since graduating, she has worked across a multitude of settings, gaining experience in public hospitals and health settings, community work, aged care, mental health settings including inpatient and outpatient psychiatric social work roles, legal services, custodial settings, and more recently chose to specialise in working with adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Samantha has dedicated the last few years to intensive trauma studies, gaining qualification as a clinical trauma professional and training in the Embodied Processing modality, which is a form of somatic therapy. She also holds a qualification in bereavement, grief and loss. Samantha is guided by the Dr. Gabor Mate compassionate enquiry training she undertook and incorporates traditional talking therapy with mindfulness and somatic techniques to help people return to wholeness after trauma.
