Renee is a Level 4 Registered Counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and a Clinical Counsellor with Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), I am passionate about youth, family, and adolescent counselling. With many years of experience in private practice and as a school counsellor, I have provided vital support to families, couples, and school communities, working with infants, primary, and high school students. I focuses on helping young people navigate their developmental years, fostering identity and resilience through behavioural and solution-focused therapies.
As a mother of four, I have personal understanding of the complexities of parenthood and can empathise with expectations and reality at times being very different. I use an open dialogue approach involving family and significant others in the recovery process where and when helpful.
Therapy Approach- I use several therapeutic modalities and often use them in combination to support each client’s unique needs. These modalities include Open Dialogue, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solutions Focused Therapy and Psychodynamic therapy.
