Ms Racquel Laulita Psychologist

The foundation of my psychological service is to create and ensure safety within the therapeutic relationship. I hope to offer you the space to go deeper into the exploration of your own inner wisdom and truth. I look forward to getting to know you and to support your unique journey to create the life you desire. It takes courage to delve deeper into our mental health, and it is an honour to work meaningfully with my clients. Taking a collaborative and holistic approach, I am committed to working with your whole-self to foster wellbeing of the mind, body, and spirit. Racquel holds a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Psychology and Addiction Studies; a Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychology; and a Masters in Applied Psychology (Organisational). Racquel appreciates that every person is unique and tailors treatment to specific needs. She draws upon a variety of evidence-based models and approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness skills, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma Informed practice. Racquel has a unique combination of skills and qualifications. She has extensive experience performing treatment assessments, program/group facilitation, and psychoeducation within the government sector. She has also worked in the employee welfare space, critical incident response, and in organisational and leadership development. For over a decade, Racquel has worked with adults who have experienced difficulties with emotional regulation, substance use, trauma, stress, depression, anxiety, and antisocial conduct. She has a deep understanding of women specific issues (e.g., domestic violence and parenting concerns) as she has worked predominantly with women in recent years.
