Peta is an experienced and qualified Endorsed Counselling and Clinical Psychologist who has been working in the Mental Health field for the past 29 years in various roles within the Public and Private Health Sector as well as other Government and Non-Government organisations. Peta is warm, empathic and committed to providing client-centred evidence based therapeutic support to all her clients and their families. She provides Counselling and Psychotherapy for anxiety, depression, life transitions, and trauma. With the last 19 years having a special interest and further training specifically in antenatal and postnatal anxiety and depression, grief and loss, trauma, perinatal, infant and paediatric mental health at St John of God Private and Public Hospitals Midland, St John of God Raphael Services Fremantle, Child Protection and Ngala.
Peta has extensive experience in developing programs and providing psychotherapy across a diverse range of areas, including: perinatal counselling services, parent-child conflict, adolescents transitioning from departmental care, at risk youth, and adolescents and adults in the justice system. Peta has over a decade of experience delivering group psychotherapy programs, and has presented at conferences for group work facilitated at Ngala and Raphael Services.
Peta has previously provided consultation, training, supervision and mental health workshops to health professionals, students and organisations. She is currently a registered supervisor with AHPRA, and has provided reflective supervision to Staff members and Masters of Psychology Students.
