Overview

Omara Memon is a Forensic Psychologist with over 14 years of experience across a range of clinical contexts. She has extensive experience working with individuals, families, and communities impacted by war, displacement, and conflict. This experience has enriched her ability and passion to work competently and attentively with culturally and linguistically diverse individuals. Omara also has experience working with the first responder and offender cohort. Her training and experience in Forensic Psychology enables her to engage with a wide range of clients and matters, including Court reports and other requests of a forensic nature. Omara approaches her work through a biopsychosocial lens, recognising that individuals exist and relate to others and their world within this holistic perspective. Her professional vision aligns with an overarching goal of supporting individuals, organisations, and communities in embedding psychological health and well-being principles at the forefront of strategies. Omara believes that the cornerstone to achieving this is through positive engagement and relationship building. Whilst Omara is trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities, she believes these serve as an adjunct to the more significant work of engaging and connecting with the individual for meaningful impact and change.
