Michal is a registered psychologist with experience in university counselling services, drug and alcohol settings, community health and private practice. She works with adults across the age span, with a passion for supporting younger adults (18-26).
At the core of Michal’s work is an emphasis on building a warm, safe and empathic relationship with her clients. Michal believes that an environment that welcomes honesty, genuineness, warmth (and at times, humour!) is the basis for growth and change. She is dedicated to helping individuals identify their strengths and resilience, as well shifting the life-long habits, patterns and worn-out cycles that often keep them feeling frustrated and stuck.
Michal’s approach is tailored specifically to each individual and their key concerns. She draws on therapeutic styles such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, positive psychology, mindfulness and relaxation strategies. Her approach is trauma-informed and highly considerate of cultural and sexual diversity.
Michal is a registered provider with Medicare and private health insurers.
