Overview

Mia is a registered psychologist who is passionate about creating a warm, non-judgemental, and supportive therapeutic space where clients feel safe, trusted, and understood. She values a collaborative approach and aims to help individuals deepen their self-awareness, build insight, and move toward meaningful personal growth. Mia works with children, teens and adults with varying presentations, personal challenges and mental health concerns, including those with neurodiverse profiles. She incorporates play-based and developmentally attuned approaches to help young people express themselves, build emotional skills, and feel comfortable engaging in the therapeutic process. Mia also has specialised experience in supporting individuals with eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image concerns, offering a thoughtful and informed understanding of the complexities within this area. Mia’s therapeutic style is client-centred, flexible, and grounded in evidence-based practice. Mia draws upon a range of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based approaches to tailor each session to the unique needs and goals of the individual.
