Overview

Hello, I’m Melita. I love helping others to learn, both about themselves as individuals and about their brain and why it does the things it does. It is this passion for helping others to build their skillset and confidence in themselves that led me to refocus my career on individual therapy after spending many years in management consulting and corporate training. I have seen the benefits of utilising a range of therapy interventions (that’s the strategies I get to share with you) when working with my clients and would love to work collaboratively with you to find the best approach to suit your unique situation, strengths and personality. I am a caring, authentic and empathic person, and a counselling session with me will feel natural, conversational and purposeful. I look forward to working with you to overcome today’s challenges and build your best future life. I am a registered Organisational Psychology Specialist. I completed a combined Bachelor of Arts and Business, majoring in Psychology and Management, a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours, and then a Masters in Organisational Psychology. I am registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and am a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). I am trained in several evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). If you want to learn more about how your brain works and how you can work with it to feel better, then I can help. I am experienced in working with a diverse range of clients to assist them with their personal struggles, career decisions, leadership strategies, and parenting challenges. I have a keen interest in working with people experiencing anxiety, depression and stress and have a special focus in mothers returning to work. I have worked in a range of settings, including private practice, government and non-government organisations.
