Ms Melissa Yap Psychologist

Spoken Word Psychology Point Cook, Victoria, 3030

Overview

I am a clinical psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychological Society. I work with adolescents and adults experiencing a range of emotional and mental health difficulties. I take an integrative approach to treatment and draws from a range of evidence based interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I take the time to get to know each of my clients and tailor treatment to suit the needs of each individual. I recognise the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship and provide a warm, non-judgmental and client-centred approach so that each person feels safe and supported in the space. I enjoy working collaboratively alongside my clients to assist them in achieving their personal goals.
