Overview

At Satori Psychology, we prioritize building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, empathy, and collaboration. We create a non-judgmental environment where you can freely express yourself, explore your emotions, and gain insights into your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. We believe clients are the experts of their own lives. Considering each individual’s unique strengths and challenges, we adopt a warm and tailored approach to help individuals make sense of their experiences and reach their goals. Our therapy is informed by evidence-based practice, integrating various modalities that encompasses acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed therapy, attachment theory, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. Our principal psychologist, Melanie, has completed a Master of Professional Psychology at the University of Melbourne. She has experience working with adolescents, adults, families, and people of diverse backgrounds at Headspace and in private practice. Having worked and lived abroad, Melanie's life experience offers clients with a flexible, versatile, and culturally sensitive therapy style. Melanie primarily works with adult clients. She can deliver therapy in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Outside of work, Melanie enjoys reading, hiking and is active in cat rescue.
