I strongly value a collaborative therapeutic relationship and believe in a client centered approach to support the well being of my clients. I look forward to talking and listening to you, to supporting you to find the way to make your life more functional, fulfilling and meaningful. While we can't change the past, we can come to terms with it and though we do not know what tomorrow will bring, we can prepare for it. What we can do today is attend to it - it's all about learning to stop and smell the roses - sometimes crying, sometimes smiling but overall being confident, content and at peace. Marie completed a Bachelor of Social Science and Honors majoring in Psychology. She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a Medicare Provider. Marie is experienced in a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Reminiscence Therapy. Marie has experience working with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents and adults. She also has extensive experience working with people with disabilities, including intellectual disability and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Marie has a keen interest in working with people experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, low self esteem and interpersonal difficulties. She has worked in a range of settings, including schools, non-government organisations, charities and private practice.
