Maddison is a warm and person-centred Psychologist who is committed to empowering individuals so they have the confidence to enact positive change. She is also passionate about prevention and advocates for addressing not only the presenting symptoms but also any underlying issues driving these symptoms.
Maddison has completed an Undergraduate Bachelor Degree in Psychology, Honours in Psychology and a Postgraduate Diploma of Professional Psychology. She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPi). Maddison practices using a range of evidence-based treatments including, but not limited to, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness-Based Therapy.
Maddison has a particular interest in working with children and adolescents experiencing anxiety (including generalised anxiety disorder, social anxiety, panic attacks and specific phobias), depression, self-harm, behavioural problems, trauma and school stress. Her adult areas of interest include anxiety, phobias, depression, trauma, sports performance, gambling and drug and alcohol dependence.
