Ms Louise Turner Psychologist

We all need a safe and supportive space in which we can just be – a space where we can feel heard in all our humanness, and where our experiences, whatever they are in the moment, are held without judgement. The therapeutic space I hold for my clients is grounded in my values around safety, compassion, respect, collaboration, and evidence-based knowledge. I am passionate about creating a working alliance with each of my clients, to explore their unique needs and issues, and to support their reaching meaningful health outcomes which honour their individual experiences. Louise adopts an integrative and person-centred therapeutic approach, with treatment being tailored to the individual needs of each client. She is skilled in delivering a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Schema Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), mindfulness and somatic-based therapies, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. Louise is an experienced Clinical Psychologist who has worked collaboratively with adults and older adolescents across a range of public health and private settings. She has a particular interest in working with adults who have experienced complex trauma or who may be grappling with more enduring relational or attachment difficulties. Her other areas of practice include anxiety and stress-related issues, depression, adjustment difficulties, body image and self-esteem issues, and grief and loss.
