As a therapist I work with integrity, respect, non-judgement and in an integrative manner. My aim with clients is to enable agency in their individual lives, supporting them to find their way through life’s challenges with self-awareness, trust in themselves and preparedness to make change.
I have worked with clients on suicide intervention, self-harm, domestic and family violence, anxiety, depression, suicide bereavement, grief and loss, relationship issues, parenting concerns, maladaptive behaviours, significant life changes and historical and current trauma. In my practice I am empathic, kind, respectfully challenging, strengths based, realistic and safe.
In addition, I have a background as an Educational Facilitator as I believe that education about Mental Health, Suicide, Domestic and Family Violence and Communication Skills enables people to develop the life skills and understanding which can support them in having meaningful conversations with family, friends, colleagues, and clients. This foundational work can help to reduce stigma, mitigate crisis, provide support, and save lives.
