Ms Leanda Chan Psychologist

Leanda Chan Sydney, New South Wales, 2000

Overview

I am a warm and compassionate registered Psychologist who is committed to providing evidence-based and personalized therapy to individuals and couples. My therapeutic approach is to focus on exploring the underlying causes of distress, rather than merely presenting symptoms, in order to foster meaningful and lasting change. I am experienced in treating anxiety, depression, interpersonal issues, role transitions, relationship problems, and phobias. My approach is collaborative, culturally sensitive, and respectful of the unique experiences that shape each person's presentation. With a strong foundation in various therapeutic approaches, such as Brief Psychodynamic Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Couples Therapy, Family Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, I tailor my treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each client. Holding a Graduate Diploma in Psychology, Graduate Diploma in Psychology Advanced from Monash University, and a Bachelor of Arts (Sociology) from UNSW, I continue to expand my knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development and engagement with the latest research. I am an active member of the Australian Psychological Society and hold full General Registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA.
