Ms Lauren Lynch (She/her)Social Worker

Body Belonging Clinic Nedlands, Western Australia, 6009

Overview

Lauren Lynch is a proud Yorta Yorta woman, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, Medicare provider and ANZAED Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician. She is the founder of Body Belonging Clinic, a private practice in Nedlands providing eating disorder, body image and identity-affirming mental health support for adults, adolescents, families and children. Lauren offers in-person sessions in Nedlands and telehealth across Australia where clinically appropriate. Her eating disorder work is grounded in CBT-E (enhanced cognitive behavioural therapy for eating disorders), alongside ACT and DBT-informed skills. Her practice is Aboriginal-led, culturally grounded, LGBTQIA+ affirming, trans-affirming, neuroaffirming, size-inclusive, weight-stigma-aware and trauma-informed. Lauren works with clients and families to understand what is happening around eating, body image, identity, safety, culture, connection and social and emotional wellbeing, then develop practical and compassionate pathways toward recovery. Where helpful and with consent, Lauren collaborates with GPs, dietitians, psychiatrists, psychologists, schools, NDIS supports, family, kin, carers and other care providers. Body Belonging Clinic accepts referrals under Medicare Eating Disorder Treatment and Management Plans, Better Access Mental Health Treatment Plans, eligible NDIS self-managed or plan-managed arrangements, and self-funded referrals. Selected private health rebates may also be available.
